Spay and Neuter

This program is for owned pets in Macon County only. Pets who come through our Spay/Neuter Clinic are spayed or neutered, given a long-acting pain injection, updated on Rabies and Distemper/Parvo vaccines (if not already current), given a small green tattoo to identify them as sterilized, and dogs are sent home with oral pain medication.

Our clinic is not a full-service clinic, any veterinary care needed after spay/neuter surgery is the responsibility of the owner.

Appointment slots are limited, we currently have a waitlist.

For scheduling information, please call our Spay/Neuter Clinic at (217) 809-1877 or email hsspayclinic@hsdmc.org. You may have to leave a message, we will call you back as soon as we are able.
